It's Lewis Carroll's birthday. He was born on January 27, 1832 and died on January 14, 1898. When I was a kid, I would practically celebrate his birthday like it was a holiday -- that, and May 4 and November 4, because those are the dates that the events in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass take place, respectively.
